Dominic Ricotta

Apache veteran takes the reins from Paul McKinney

Apache Corporation has promoted Dominic Ricotta to the position of vice president and associate general counsel. The announcement comes hot on the heels
of another executive appointment, that of Paul McKinney to the newly created role of vice
president of the Gulf Coast onshore region.

When it comes to his new role, Ricotta is hardly a novice – in fact, he has been with the Apache legal department since 1998. Before that he worked in private practice as a partner at the law firm Holme Roberts & Owen.

In addition to his work experience, Ricotta’s academic background helped set him up for legal positions in the energy sector. He received his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering and petroleum refining from the Colorado School of Mines.

He then went on to pursue law and received his JD from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
