NYSE Euronext has formally agreed to acquire Corpedia Corporation, a governance, risk and compliance platform in electronic education and consultative services.

NYSE continues to build its services and products for global issuers by developing patented tools and establishing connections with service providers. Corpedia serves more than 500 businesses, representing all industry sectors and comprising approximately 25 percent of Fortune 500 companies.

The acquisition is expected to be completed in June, but the terms of the agreement were not disclosed to the public, the company says.

In a press release, Jean-Marc Levy, senior vice president and head of Global Issuer Services, said ‘this acquisition will provide our issuer community with high value governance, risk and compliance education, communication and advice.

The addition of Corpedia further enhances our services platform, and is consistent with our overall corporate strategy to unlock the potential of our global capital markets community by linking capital, issuers and innovative ideas.’

The procurement of Corpedia will provide NYSE Euronext with mobile eLearning for executive and board training. Its eLearning courseware, which ranges from introductory to concentrated curriculums containing short videos and clips from longer films, is delivered on an exclusive customizable management system platform embedded into a clients’ workflow. Corpedia’s consultative service provides compliance diagnostics, risk assessment, curriculum mapping and peer benchmarking.
