Background
Corporate Secretary invites a select group of senior-level corporate secretaries and in-house counsel for a day of networking and private discussions about some of the most pressing issues affecting them in their professional roles. Corporate Secretary Think Tank events provide participants a unique opportunity to share experiences, express ideas and develop, as a community, best practice approaches to critical governance, risk and compliance issues. Topics that have been covered at past think tanks include: executive compensation, the changing role and priorities of the corporate secretary, proxies and broker over-voting, managing your time and attorney-client privilege and internal investigations.
Format
The think tank comprises three sessions. Each session starts with a group of session leaders presenting the issue to be discussed. Invited participants then discuss the issue in small roundtable groups. While the event is closed-door and confidential, anonymous comments will be published in an article in Corporate Secretary and on this web site.
