David Bouc joins West Coast Bancorp

Once an FDIC attorney, Bouc now heads up the legal department at the Pacific Northwest-based banking holding company

The Pacific Northwest-based bank holding company West Coast Bancorp has selected David Bouc to serve as
its executive vice president and general counsel. In addition to his general counsel duties, Bouc manages the legal department and carries out the corporate secretarial functions.

Bouc’s appointment coincides
with some good news for West Coast Bancorp: the company reported an improved second quarter, and saw the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) lift its enforcement order on the firm.

Bouc brings a
considerable amount of experience in the financial services industry to his new position, having spent more than 25 years working on various sides of the banking sector. Most recently he served as vice president and deputy general counsel of HSBC North America. Prior to that he was an FDIC attorney.

As an undergraduate student, Bouc attended Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, where he graduated with a bachelor
of arts degree. He received his JD from Oklahoma City University and then went on to pursue a master of law degree in banking law from Boston University.
