Waheed Hassan will carry on as managing partner at Alliance.
Alliance Advisors, a proxy solicitation and corporate governance advisory firm, yesterday announced the retention of Waheed Hassan as a managing partner. Waheed will help clients engage with Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) and provide guidance through merger and acquisition transactions and proxy contests.
Before Hassan’s move to Alliance, he spearheaded the M&A/Proxy Contest research team at ISS. While in that position he advised institutional investors on a series of prominent proxy contests including Conseco, Atmel, Bassett Furniture, Office Depot, NRG Energy and Target.
Hassan was a senior research analyst at several global financial services firms such as UBS, where he covered banks, industrials and petrochemical companies.
