1) Antares Pharma has appointed Jennifer Evans Stacey to the newly created position of senior vice president, general counsel of human resources and secretary. Stacey’s corporate background includes 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry. Antares focuses on self-administered parenteral pharmaceutical products.
Stacey previously served as senior vice president, general counsel of human resources and secretary at FXI from 2012 until last month. Between 2005 and 2012, she served as executive vice president, general counsel of human resources and secretary at Auxilium Pharmaceuticals. She has also worked at Aventis Behring, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aventis, and a stint with Rhône-Poulenc Rorer, the predecessor company of Aventis. She began her legal career as an associate in King & Spalding’s corporate finance Department.
Stacey graduated with a BA from Princeton University and received her JD from University of Pennsylvania Law School.

2) Bryan Rowland has been named vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at Checkpoint Systems, where he has 10 years of experience, most recently serving as associate general counsel.
Rowland previously served as Checkpoint’s compliance officer. He joined the provider of merchandise availability solutions for the retail industry in 2003 as a legal intern, after serving as a clerk in Maryland’s Office of the Public Defender. Rowland became a member of the board of trustees of the Perkins Center for the Arts in Mooretown, New Jersey in July 2013. He earned a JD from Villanova University Law School and a BA in psychology and philosophy from Towson University.

3) DuPont has named Stacy Fox as senior vice president and general counsel, succeeding Thomas Sager, who is retiring after 37 years of service to the company.
DuPont chair and CEO Ellen Kullman called Sager ‘an innovator and pioneer in the legal profession,’ and praised Fox as ‘a proven leader with exceptional experience as a lawyer and business executive,’ who will be key in supporting DuPont’s growth.
Before joining DuPont, Fox, served as senior vice president, strategy, and general counsel and secretary at Sunoco. Prior to that, she was executive vice president of corporate transactions and legal affairs at Visteon, a multinational automotive supplier, and general counsel of Collins & Aikman, another automotive supplier. She has also worked at Unisys and Johnson Controls. Most recently, she served as deputy emergency manager for Detroit, assisting Governor Rick Snyder’s team in guiding the city through the largest municipal bankruptcy in US history. She is also a founder and principal of the Roxbury Group, a Detroit-based real estate development and investment firm specializing in complex urban redevelopment projects.
Fox earned her JD at The University of Michigan Law School and BS with distinction at the University of Michigan.

4) Forward Air Corp has appointed Michael Hance as senior vice president, chief legal officer and corporate secretary, succeeding Matthew Jewell, who has been promoted to executive vice president of intermodal services and chief strategy officer.
Hance joined Forward Air in 2006 as vice president and staff counsel and was promoted to senior vice president and general counsel in 2008. In 2010 his role expanded to include head of human resources. Forward Air is comprised of three business segments, including surface transportation and related logistics services to the North American expedited ground freight market, pool distribution services and temperature-controlled equipment and 24-hour monitoring and tracking technology for the pharmaceuticals industry.
Hance earned his JD from Emory University School of Law.

5) The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has named Sumara Thompson-King as its new general counsel following the retirement of Marine Corps Brigadier General Michael Wholley.
Having served as the space agency’s deputy general counsel since 1995, Thompson-King will be responsible for NASA’s legal arm, the Office of the General Counsel (OGC), which is comprised of over 170 staff and headquartered in Washington DC.
Before becoming deputy GC, Thompson-King served as associate general counsel for the OCG’s contracts, procurement and acquisition integrity practice group, providing legal advice and counsel to the NASA Office of Procurement and other headquarters offices.
Thompson-King joined NASA in 1986, starting in the OCG at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland and becoming a senior attorney at NASA headquarters in 1991. Prior to NASA, she was an attorney at the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board, Washington, DC. She received an AB in government from Smith College and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center.

Charles Ammann
Semtech Corp
6) Charles Ammann has been appointed executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at Semtech Corp, a supplier of analog and mixed-signal semiconductors. He replaces Randall Holliday, who is retiring.
With more than 30 years of corporate and legal experience, Ammann most recently served as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of United Online. Previously, he was general counsel at TV Guide, United Video Satellite Group and Flint Industries. He has also been a partner at Gable & Gotwals.
Ammann earned a BBA from the University of Notre Dame with a double major in Finance and Management and received the Hamilton Award for Management. He obtained his JD from the University of Oklahoma where he served as editor of the Oklahoma Law Review, and has an MBA from the University of Tulsa.

7) Trevena, a clinical stage pharmaceutical company, has named John Limongelli to the newly created position of senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. The company focuses on the discovery and development of G protein coupled receptor (GPCR) biased ligands.
Limongelli has more than 15 years of strategic and legal experience representing public life sciences and healthcare companies. He became vice president, associate chief counsel and corporate secretary at Cigna Corp in 2013, after serving as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary at Adolor Corp, a biopharmaceutical company specializing in pain management products, from 2008 until 2011. He has also been vice president and associate general counsel at Cephalon and started his legal career in private practice with Morgan Lewis & Bockius. He received his JD and MBA from Temple University.
