SCCE/HCCA chief executive to retire

Organization sets up succession-planning committee

Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) and Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) chief executive Roy Snell is to retire in March 2020.

SCCE/HCCA has set up a succession-planning committee to assist in the process of finding a new CEO for the organization and to facilitate a smooth transition. The members of the committee are: Snell; Daniel Roach, committee chair and past president of the organization; Urton Anderson, SCCE and HCCA president; Jennifer O’Brien, past president; Gabriel Imperato, past president; Margaret Hambleton, vice president; Debbie Troklus, compliance certification board chair, past president and co-founder.

The deadline for applications is August 20, 2017. The Minneapolis-based organization plans to complete the interview and selection process in the fall of this year and onboard a deputy CEO in early 2018, who will likely assume the role of CEO during 2019.

‘I would like to thank you for the opportunity to serve as CEO of this organization for the past 16 years,’ Snell says in a statement. ‘It has been a tremendous privilege to lead this organization and work with thousands of talented professionals.’

SCCE provides training, certification, networking and other resources to more than 5,800 compliance officer members from a range of industries. HCCA also provides training, certification, networking and other resources to more than 10,900 members, including compliance officers and staff from organizations including hospitals, research facilities, clinics and technology service providers.
