Laureate Education has hired Victoria Silbey as its new senior vice president, corporate secretary and chief legal officer (CLO).

Silbey joined Laureate on September 7. She was most recently CLO for SunGard Data Systems. FIS acquired SunGard in 2015. Earlier in her career, Silbey was a litigation attorney at Morgan Lewis & Bockius. Laureate operates a network of almost 70 campus-based and online universities in 25 countries.

Silbey now reports to Laureate president and chief administrative officer Eilif Serck-Hanssen.
