Horizon Global selects new general counsel from within

Jay Goldbaum was previously legal director with the firm

Towing and trailering equipment firm Horizon Global Corporation has promoted Jay Goldbaum to be the company’s general counsel.

In his new role, Goldbaum is responsible for leading Horizon Global’s global corporate development function, and will continue to lead the company’s legal and compliance functions. He reports to CEO and president Mark Zeffiro and is based at the firm’s headquarters in Troy, Michigan.

Goldbaum most recently served as Horizon Global’s legal director and, before joining the firm, served as associate general counsel for commercial law for TriMas Corporation.

‘The entire Horizon Global management team and our board of directors look forward to working closely with Jay in his expanded role as our company continues to progress on its key financial priorities and furthers its focus on delivering shareholder value,’ Zeffiro says in a statement.

Horizon Global describes itself as the top designer, manufacturer and distributor of a variety of custom-engineered towing, trailering, cargo management and related products in North America, Australia and Europe. Its portfolio of brands includes BULLDOG, Draw-Tite, Fulton, Hayman Reese, Reese and Westfalia.
