Adaptive Spectrum and Signal Alignment (ASSIA) has appointed David Fligor as general counsel and corporate secretary, effective earlier this month. In his new position, he reports to ASSIA chair and CEO Dr John Cioffi. Fligor's predecessor, Mary Fuller, recently joined the Kudelski Group as vice president, chief policy officer and head of legal, KIPI.
ASSIA provides broadband and WiFi diagnostic and optimization software solutions to carriers and cable operators. It is privately held, with investors including AT&T, Mingly China Growth Fund and Swisscom Ventures.
Fligor began his legal career as an associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. He has since gained experience in intellectual property (IP) protection and the formation of strategic alliances, as well as in general corporate management.
His work includes serving as vice president and associate general counsel and vice president for corporate development and strategy at TiVo, and vice president for licensing at the Kudelski Group. At TiVo and Kudelski, he led teams of attorneys and other professionals responsible for a range of licensing, commercial transactions and IP matters, including negotiating a series of patent litigation settlements.
