Aegion appoints new general counsel and secretary

Mark Menghini has been with the company since 2013

St Louis, Missouri-based Aegion Corporation has appointed Mark Menghini as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary, effective May 10.

He had been serving as Aegion’s interim general counsel and secretary since last month. Menghini has been with the infrastructure company since 2013 and, before serving as interim general counsel and secretary, he was most recently the company’s senior vice president and deputy general counsel.

Before joining Aegion, Menghini was an officer and shareholder with Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, where he was a member of the law firm’s construction practice from 1998 until 2013.

‘I am confident in Mark’s ability to serve as Aegion’s general counsel and secretary,’ Aegion president and CEO Charles Gordon says in a statement. ‘Since joining Aegion, Mark has worked closely with our platform presidents and general counsels on all significant legal matters. He has emphasized working with customers to define contractual risks and responsibilities. This has led to more successful outcomes on challenging projects throughout Aegion.’

Aegion maintains, rehabilitates and strengthens infrastructure globally, including rehabilitating aging pipelines in the wastewater, water, energy, mining and refining industries.
