Wabash National hires new general counsel

Melanie Margolin was previously senior attorney with Cummins

Lafayette, Indiana-based Wabash National Corporation has appointed Melanie Margolin as senior vice president and general counsel.

Before joining Wabash National, she was deputy general counsel at Cummins, which designs, manufactures, distributes and services a broad portfolio of power-related products. Earlier, she was an equity partner with Frost Brown Todd in Indianapolis from 2000 to 2013.

Margolin joined Wabash on April 30. The firm's previous general counsel, who left to pursue an opportunity as executive vice president and general counsel at Strada Education Network, according to a spokesperson.

In her new role, Margolin oversees all of Wabash National’s global legal affairs in areas such as corporate, commercial, regulatory, intellectual property, ethics, compliance and litigation. The company is a diversified industrial manufacturer and produces semi-trailers and liquid transportation systems.
