Neon Therapeutics hires first general counsel

Jolie Siegel previously served as deputy general counsel and assistant secretary at Intralinks

Neon Therapeutics has hired Jolie Siegel to fill the newly created position of general counsel.

Siegel will lead the legal, intellectual property, compliance and corporate governance functions for the company. She will report to president and CEO Hugh O’Dowd.

Neon is a clinical-stage immuno-oncology company developing neoantigen-based therapeutics. Before joining the company, Siegel served as senior vice president, deputy general counsel and assistant secretary at Intralinks, a financial technology provider for the banking and capital markets sectors.

Previously, she was a partner at Choate Hall & Stewart, where she advised on corporate transactional, securities and general business matters, with an emphasis on private-equity, venture-capital and high-growth companies. Earlier in her career, she was an attorney at Testa, Hurwitz, & Thibeault.

‘Jolie will be an invaluable resource as we advance the clinical trials of our personalized and precision therapeutics,’ O’Dowd says in a statement. ‘We’re delighted to welcome her to the Neon team.’
