Outside counsel moves in-house at PDC

Matthew Wagner continues to serve as corporate secretary to the board

PDC Brands has brought its chief outside legal adviser in-house as general counsel.

Matthew Wagner has spent several years as outside general counsel and non-executive secretary to PDC’s board of directors. He was most recently also a partner at law firm Diserio Martin where he chaired the intellectual property practice group.

In his new role, Wagner is responsible for all legal matters at Stamford, Connecticut-based PDC and continues to serve as non-executive secretary to the board. He reports directly to CEO James Stammer.

Beauty and wellness company PDC Brands’ portfolio includes Cantu, Dr Teal’s and Eylure. Its products are sold in the US, the UK and more than 60 other markets globally.

‘We are excited to add Matt to PDC’s talented management team,’ says Stammer in a statement. ‘I’ve had the pleasure of working with Matt for almost a decade in his role as outside general counsel to our company. He has proven time and again to be a trusted adviser whose expertise and leadership qualities will be of great value to our team.’

Wagner says in a statement: ‘I’m very proud to join the team at PDC. I have developed very strong relationships with the executive team and am excited to help it execute its strategy. I look forward to being a part of the company’s long-term success.’
