Michael Tucker has been in post for 10 years

Michael Tucker, executive vice president and long-time general counsel for Avis Budget Group, is leaving the company at the end of this week.

‘The company thanks Mr Tucker for his contributions during his tenure, which began in April 2010, and wishes him well in his future endeavors,’ says Parsippany, New Jersey-based Avis Budget Group in a recent regulatory filing.

According to his company profile, Tucker is executive vice president, general counsel and chief compliance officer with responsibility for the company’s legal affairs, including management of its franchising and other contracts, litigation, government relations and information security.

Before joining Avis Budget Group, he was managing partner of law firm Tucker Associates, and of counsel to the law firm of Lowe & Savage, a role in which he advised private and public organizations on corporate, securities, finance and commercial transaction matters.

His previous in-house legal roles include being division general counsel with Tyco International, division senior counsel of GE Transportation and senior vice president and general counsel of GE Capital International Services.
