Nasdaq-listed Covetrus has recruited Jamey Seely as its next general counsel and corporate secretary. She reports to chief administrative officer Dustin Finer.
Seely previously held both business and legal roles while working as president and general counsel of Integra, which develops blockchain technology for the legal industry. Earlier in her career she was executive vice president and general counsel of the Gates Industrial Corporation, where she was involved in the company’s IPO. Among other roles, she was executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at ION Geophysical.
She has legal and business experience in the energy, manufacturing and technology industries and has built legal teams in the US, Europe and Asia. According to Covetrus, Seely’s focus includes board governance and compensation, securities, M&A, financing and project development, human resources matters and high-risk litigation management.
She succeeds Erin Powers Brennan. ‘Erin was instrumental in the formation of Covetrus, and in building the strong legal team we have in place today,’ says CEO Ben Wolin in a statement. ‘We are grateful for her service and wish her well.’
Portland, Maine-based Covetrus is an animal-health technology and services company.
‘We are thrilled to have Jamey join Covetrus as general counsel and as a member of our board leadership team,’ says Finer in an announcement. ‘The company will benefit from Jamey’s combination of legal and business expertise, and we look forward to her support in driving the company’s business strategy, development and continued growth.’
