Edgewell hires chief legal officer

NYSE-listed Edgewell Personal Care Company has appointed LaTanya Langley as its chief legal officer, effective February 28.

She will be based in the company’s Shelton, Connecticut office and will report to president and CEO Rod Little.

Langley is joining Edgewell having spent more than six years at BIC Corp, most recently as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. In that role, she has led a team with global responsibility for legal strategy and execution, in addition to matters such as compliance, corporate governance, complex litigation management, human resources/employee relations, crisis management and commercial transactions.
 

According to her LinkedIn profile, Langley previously spent seven years working in the legal team at alcoholic drinks company Diageo. She began her legal career in private practice as an associate at law firms Paul Hastings, Weil Gotshal & Manges and Shipman & Goodwin, specializing in corporate law and business finance and restructuring.

Edgewell is a consumer products company with brands such as Schick and Wilkinson Sword men’s shaving products, Playtex, Banana Boat, Hawaiian Tropic and Wet Ones.
