BNY Mellon Shareowner Services, the transfer agency branch of NYSE-listed Bank of New York Mellon Corporation, has selected Lennie Kaufman to head up its business in the
central US area, a 17-state region that has – according to the bank – great growth potential.

‘We see growth
opportunity in the central US,’ says Peter Duggan, head of relationship
management, in a release announcing Kaufman’s appointment. He adds that hiring someone with Kaufman’s experience emphasizes the company’s commitment to the region.

And Kaufman does indeed bring
a great deal of experience – more than 25 years – to the position. Before joining BNY Mellon, he managed Wells Fargo’s transfer agency business. He has also held senior-level posts in a number of industry-related associations, including president and board member
of the Midwest Securities Transfer Association, and vice president,
executive committee member and board member of the Securities Transfer Association.

Kaufman received his bachelor’s degree in business administration as well as his MBA from the University
of Minnesota.
