Association of corporate counsel names new chairman
<p>Alberto Gonzales-Pita, vice president and general counsel of HCP, has been named chairman of the board of the Association of Corporate Counsel</p>
Pita has been a member of the 26,000-strong body for 10 years and first joined the board in 2005. He has held senior legal roles at many large and respected US public companies, including senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at Las Vegas Sands, general counsel at Tyson Foods, and vice president and general counsel at BellSouth International. He is joined on the board by new members Mary Kennard, vice president and general counsel at American University, and Deirdre Stanley, executive vice president and general counsel at Thomson Reuters.
