Gina Beredo to join company from Nordson Corporation

Toledo, Ohio-based Owens Corning has appointed Gina Beredo as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, effective June 9.

Beredo will join Owens Corning from Nordson Corporation, which designs and produces dispensing equipment for consumer and industrial adhesives, sealants and coatings. She has spent eight years at Nordson, most recently as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. In that role she oversees the company’s legal function in terms of corporate governance, M&A, ethics and compliance, litigation and other general corporate legal matters.

Before joining Nordson in 2013, she was chief litigation counsel and director of compliance and ethics at American Greetings Corporation. She began her legal career as a litigation associate at BakerHostetler.

In her new role, Beredo will oversee Owens Corning’s global legal operations, government affairs and corporate affairs.

Ava Harter, who had been senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary with Owens Corning since 2015, joined Whirlpool Corporation last December as senior vice president and chief legal officer.

‘Gina brings more than two decades of experience working across multiple industries,’ chair and CEO Brian Chambers says in a statement. ‘She has a proven track record leading high-performing teams, supporting business growth and advising public boards. We are pleased to add such a talented leader to our executive team as her broad expertise will be valuable as our company continues to grow and execute on its long-term objectives.’
