Alaska Air Group announces management changes

Alaska Air Group, the parent 
company of both Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air, has announced a number of changes to its management team, including a new associate general 
counsel and a new chief risk compliance and ethics officer

Aileen Cronin has been appointed as managing director of privacy and security and associate general counsel. She also has responsibility for the 
company’s environmental affairs and business continuity programs. Cronin, who previously led the company’s data privacy, corporate security and records management programs, has been an employee of Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air for 12 years. Cronin earned a bachelor’s degree in 
communications from the University of California in San Diego and a law degree from Gonzaga University.

Wendy Jones has been tapped as chief risk, compliance and ethics officer. Jones has been with the company for five years and previously served as 
managing director of audit programs, responsible for supervising the firm’s internal audit and evaluation programs.

Before joining Alaska, Jones worked in public accounting for Ernst & Young and in internal auditing for McKesson and Cott Beverages. She also served in senior finance roles for two Dallas-based technology firms. She is a graduate of Gonzaga University, where she earned a degree in accounting.
