Swank Capital appoints chief compliance officer

Barry Greenberg has been appointed general counsel and chief compliance officer at Swank Capital

He is responsible for oversight of the firm’s legal and
regulatory compliance functions and will also work closely with senior
management on product development and other strategic initiatives. He will serve in the same capacity for the Cushing MLP Funds.

‘Barry is a significant addition to our firm and we are confident that the investment community will concur,’ comments Jerry Swank, founder of Swank Capital, in announcing the appointment. ‘His background in
private and public funds and seven years with the SEC provides the critical perspective necessary to accomplish our long-term growth strategy; he
is a great fit for us.’

Prior to joining Swank, Greenberg was based in Dallas where he was
a partner in the investment funds
practice of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. In that role he was responsible for advising private US and offshore funds, mutual funds and investment advisers on a wide range of issues including entity formation, governance and regulatory compliance.

Greenberg’s career includes a stint with the SEC’s employment division and 10 years as in-house general
counsel for a mutual fund sponsor
and manager of alternative investment funds. He holds a JD from Tulane University Law School and a BA
from Emory University.
