KEPRO hires first general counsel and CCO

Melissa Leigh previously worked with Intermedix Corporation

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-based KEPRO has hired Melissa Leigh as general counsel and chief compliance officer. In this newly created role, Leigh leads the firm’s in-house legal, compliance and risk management functions.

Before joining KEPRO, Leigh worked for Intermedix Corporation for more than five years in various leadership positions, leading diligence and acquisition activities and refocusing in-house legal work to improve efficiency and lower external legal spending, according to a KEPRO announcement. She was also charged with realigning compliance resources across the firm to ensure they were available to high-growth and high-risk business functions.

KEPRO is a care-management company offering services designed to reduce the use of healthcare resources and optimize the quality of care for public and commercial clients. In her new role, Leigh advises the company on matters including governance, M&A, litigation, commercial, regulatory and employment.

‘Melissa is a selfless leader who brings an extreme amount of success seen throughout her legal career,’ KEPRO CEO Joel Portice says in a statement. ‘With Melissa’s industry knowledge of guidance on legal matters and strategic business objectives, she will be a wonderful addition to the executive team.’
