Amkor hires new general counsel

Mark Rogers succeeds Gil Tily, who has retired

Tempe, Arizona-based Amkor Technology has recruited Mark Rogers as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary.

Rogers has moved to Amkor after spending five years with ON Semiconductor, where he worked as assistant general counsel, assistant corporate secretary and in other senior legal positions. Among other things, he spent 11 years with Insight Enterprises as associate general counsel and has worked in private practice with the law firms Fennemore Craig and Quarles & Brady.

In his new role, Rogers reports to Amkor president and CEO Steve Kelley. Rogers succeeds Gil Tily, who has retired as general counsel, according to the company.

Nasdaq-listed Amkor bills itself as one of the world’s largest providers of outsourced semiconductor packaging and test services, operating as a manufacturing partner with more than 250 leading semiconductor companies, foundries and electronics original equipment manufacturers.

‘We are delighted to welcome Mark as our new general counsel,’ Kelley says in a statement. ‘His extensive legal experience with global semiconductor and IT companies makes him a great fit for Amkor.’
