Sprinklr appoints first general counsel

Dan Haley previously worked at athenahealth

Social media firm Sprinklr has hired Dan Haley as its first general counsel and corporate secretary.

Haley previously worked at health information technology company athenahealth for almost seven years as general counsel and later as chief legal and administrative officer, a role in which he was responsible for all legal, compliance and HR functions.

Before working at athenahealth, Haley worked in private practice advising clients on government and regulatory affairs and complex commercial litigation. He has also held senior positions in state-wide political campaigns, in Massachusetts state government and at several federal political committees.

Sprinklr offers services for companies’ social media management efforts, billing itself as ‘the world’s first unified front office platform for modern channels.’

‘Dan’s extensive legal experience as well as his commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards make him the ideal choice for Sprinklr,’ says CEO and founder Ragy Thomas in a statement. ‘With a deep understanding of the particular challenges faced by software companies managing an extensive amount of data, Dan will provide clear leadership to advance Sprinklr’s mission of helping brands make their customers happier.’

‘I’m excited to take on this role at a crucial time in Sprinklr’s history, as we plan for the next decade of the company’s story,’ Haley says in a statement. ‘Starting with a strong foundation put in place by the existing team, we are going to build a first-class legal function.’
