Molson Coors legal chief steps down

Anne-Marie D’Angelo joined the company in 2021

Molson Coors Beverage Company has announced in an SEC filing that Anne-Marie D’Angelo, the company’s chief legal and government affairs officer, has resigned for personal reasons.

The filing states that Molson Coors and D’Angelo have entered into an agreement under which she will provide legal advisory consulting services to the company until December 31, 2023 while the company seeks a new chief legal officer. She will also provide transition services as needed.

D’Angelo joined Molson Coors to take up the chief legal and government affairs officer role in December 2021. She filled the position vacated by Lee Reichert, who had retired from Molson Coors and become deputy attorney general of business and licensing for Colorado.

Anne-Marie D’Angelo

D’Angelo had previously been executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at NiSource, having joined the utility in 2019. Earlier in her legal career she had spent 13 years at McDonald’s Corporation before becoming general counsel and corporate secretary of Global Brass and Copper Holdings.

A Molson Coors statement reads: ‘Anne-Marie D’Angelo has chosen to resign as chief legal officer for personal reasons. We respect her decision and have accepted her resignation. While her resignation is effective immediately, to ensure a smooth transition Anne-Marie has agreed to remain under contract for legal support through the end of the year. We are grateful to Anne-Marie for her time with our company and wish her well.’
