Limoneira appoints new corporate secretary and CFO

Mark Palamountain has been with company since 2012

Mark Palamountain will become the new corporate secretary, CFO and treasurer of agribusiness Limoneira Company, effective January 8, 2018.

He will succeed Limoneira’s present CFO Joe Rumley, who announced his decision to pursue other opportunities in September after serving in this role since 2010, according to the company.

Palamountain most recently served as Limoneira’s senior director of agriculture operations, having been with the company since 2012. Limoneira says he has been instrumental in building and managing a pipeline of acquisition activities, created and implemented the company’s ‘net zero’ renewable energy portfolio expansion and has been directly involved with all investor relations activities.

Before joining Limoneira, Palamountain was CEO and founder of Perpetual Power, a solar integration company specializing in finance and product technology. Earlier in his career, he served as a managing director and head of Nasdaq trading for Broadpoint Securities.

‘We are excited about Mark’s transition to the role of [CFO] and would like to thank Joe for his work in establishing a strong financial reporting infrastructure at Limoneira,’ president and CEO Harold Edwards says in a statement. ‘Mark has been a valued member of our leadership team in his nearly six years with the company, leading our business development efforts and renewable energy initiatives, as well as managing our agriculture operations.’
