Concert Pharmaceuticals hires first CLO

Jeffrey Munsie was previously general counsel at Merrimack Pharmaceuticals

NASDAQ-listed Concert Pharmaceuticals has hired Jeffrey Munsie as its first chief legal officer and corporate secretary.

In his new role at the Lexington, Massachusetts-based company, Munsie will be responsible for corporate legal matters such as reporting requirements, governance and intellectual property. He will report to president and CEO Roger Tung.

Munsie was most recently senior vice president, general counsel and head of corporate operations at Merrimack Pharmaceuticals. Before that, he was an attorney in the corporate department at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr in Boston.

‘Jeff has a strong track record for building and managing legal teams and, additionally, his strategic and operational expertise will be a significant asset to Concert,’ Tung says in a statement. ‘We are delighted to welcome Jeff to our team.’
